Casey Anthony Released: Your thoughts?

I don't know how well this was covered elsewhere other than the U.S., but most people here can tell you about the Casey Anthony case. It's this young women from the state of Florida who was charged with killing her own 3 year-old daughter. I won't get very much into detail....you can look it up for yourselves. The point is, she was found not guilty. There was so much controversy over that verdict that people were, and continue, to be outraged. She was freed last night at a little after midnight....which was smart I'll give em that, since they might not have faced such a big outcry in the middle of the night. So now that's she just out and about.....I wonder what's next? There's fear for her safety and life, which you can see why based on all the outrage. What will she do now? There's been reports that her friends and even her own parents won't welcome her back in. I'm assuming she'll get some big cash if she does interviews and book deals and whatnot. So I suppose she'll get by somehow.

So what did you guys think about this trial? What's next now that she's free? Let me know your opinions in the comments.

  1. She is without a doubt guilty but there was no concrete evidence that proved that in our court of law. Fair trial

  2. Here's a question: Is it better to imprison the innocent or free the guilty?

  3. I was just gonna say that Beano. I mean yeah it's fucken obvious she killed the baby. I think it was found dead in the back of her car. No shit she killed it, but just because the baby was found in her car TECHNICALLY means that it isn't good enough evidence. Oh well :/

  4. I think the whole thing got over hyped. Stuff like this happens ALL THE TIME which is why I hate the american justice system

  5. Seems that everyone thinks she's guilty... what was up with the jury then? =/

  6. Well like Beano said, there was no hard evidence that could prove she was guilty.

  9. Prosecution couldn't prove their case, so she was acquitted. Simple as that.

  11. Some girl got violently attacked just because she LOOKED like Casey Anthony. I'm sure redneck vigilantes will do everything in their power to make sure that Casey doesn't live a very comfortable life.

  12. I don't get it. She was found not guilty. The hard evidence was just not there. She probably did it but this is the same justice system that sentences some people to prison or death even when they are innocent.

  13. I don't care. An irrelevant case blown up by the media.

  14. I think everyone should just not worry about it. This case had no real ramifications on anyone's life except those actually involved in the trial.
