2011 MTV Video Music Awards- Come and Gone

Well tonight was the night for the MTV Music Awards. I started watching 2 hours prior to the actual show because I could not miss Jersey Shore, as I watch every week. You know, I'm not a rap fan really, and I knew going into the show that it was going to be very hip-hop oriented, and it was. I didn't care for most of the performances except Lady Gaga's. I thought Adele's was slower, although that song is supposed to be emotional. The winners were also a joke for the most part. I know Tyler The Creator (I really don't know him either) draws a lot of mixed reactions. Lil Wayne closed the show, but that was a ridiculous performances. You couldn't go 3 seconds without a censor! But it was MTV, so you really couldn't do much. That's what really brought down Wayne. Did you guys see it? What did you guys think about it? 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

 

The MTV Video Music Awards are this Sunday, August 28th. It's been hyped quite a bit so I hope there's something interesting. You know, I don't follow who the nominees are, and I don't vote(if fans can even vote), but I'll tune in just to see if there are some good performances and what not. It's way too rap-oriented these days if you ask me, which I'm not too big of a fan of. Are you guys watching it here in the States? I'm not sure if these types of award shows are the ones that are also made for Europe or something. So who will be tuning in? Any particular awards or performances you're looking forward to?
